Everyone's bearish on MiniMax because coding slipped. But I've been running a general agent on vision stuff lately with M3, and it's surprisingly good. Other multimodal models are either expensive or bad. The cheaper ones aren't even native multimodal. M3 is the only one that gets all three right: price, quality, and native multimodal.

Her team Thinking Machines released Inkling. Native multimodal, 975B params, MoE, 41B active during inference. Meta went closed-source and the US open-source base model scene basically died. Inkling fills that gap.

SpaceX quietly trimmed Grok Bot's usage limits this weekend.

A lot of users woke up to find their weekly quota had shot from about 50% to a flat 100%, and they hadn't even touched it. Musk confirmed on X it wasn't a glitch. His words: serving Grok Bot "was unsustainably high relative to revenue." So the thing really does cost a fortune to run. That said, I'm seeing the limits roll back to the earlier version. Yesterday it showed 50% used; today I'm at 30%.
