Duolingo moved Video Call from Max down to Super.
You talk out loud with Lily, live. She answers, and she asks follow-ups, so it lands closer to a real conversation than to a lesson. That's the part that makes it useful for speaking. • New Super accounts get unlimited calls already. Anyone on Super before today gets them before the year is out. • Duolingo stops selling Max this month. Individual Max users get switched to Super Family at the price they pay now. • Cost per call went from $0.30 to under $0.01, mostly because they moved to open-source models. Six languages for now: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese.

opencode about to hand out $300 in credits?
OC co-founder Dax says they figured out how to give people $300 of DeepSeek credits for ~$10. If that holds up, it's a steal.

Do you really have to babysit a CLI agent at the terminal the
whole time? That was the part I hated most. I've been dodging it with A2A just so I'm not glued to a screen all day. Found an open-source project that lets CLI agents grab tasks in the background and grind through them solo. They only ping you, via a card on Feishu / Slack / Discord, when they're actually stuck and need you to call it. Claude Code, Codex, Pi, and other CLI agents all plug in. 🔗 github.com/KKKKhazix/agent-autoloop

Three $10 plans compared.
Last post I mentioned broker sites for flagship models, where you can get pricing down to about a tenth of list. Still too rich for subagents or anything you run all day. For normal use, unless you're doing development or research, I keep landing on the ~30 tier of Artificial Analysis: deepseek-v4.1-flash. Step up to ~40, which is Kimi K3.1 Pro, and the price goes 10x. For DS itself, these three subscriptions are the cheapest route today. OpenDesign Go says $120 of usage, OpenCode Go and Command Code GOAT say $100. Those aren't the same number though. OpenDesign's $120 is one pool shared by 12 models, with a $10 cap per 5 hours. The other two give DS its own allowance and $20 per 5 hours.
