Airbnb announced plans to launch an AI travel agent in the first half of 2027. The tool will include a custom interface with travel-specific components like maps and calendars. CEO Brian Chesky said the agent aims to preserve the inspiration of trip planning.
The agent will help users with booking, payments, refunds, and 24-hour safety support. The company reported 19% revenue growth to $4.87 billion for Q3. Airbnb also raised its 2026 revenue growth forecast to the high teens.
The agent will eventually support services and experiences beyond just accommodations. This move follows strong earnings and a raised growth forecast for the coming year. You can expect more integrated travel planning tools from the platform soon.
